@TheConversationUS That sounds like BS to me. I trust the people doing the work of teaching a lot more than I do anybody researching teaching, especially when they talk about the cost of education.

The Finns decided on one curriculum for all, no advanced classes, and adaptation only for special needs.

They also de-emphasized testing and IIRC eliminated homework.

After the reforms, they shot up the rankings of national academic achievement.
