title text: If they're going to make people ride bikes and scooters in traffic, then it should at LEAST be legal to do the Snow Crash thing where you use a hook-shot-style harpoon to catch free rides from cars.

We're calling for safe cycling for women

As the LCC Women’s Network, we are calling for safe cycling for women in London. We want to see riding a bike made safe, easy and convenient for women of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, across the whole city. In 2023, we surveyed over 1,000 women about their experiences cycling in London and the responses were shocking. 9 in 10 of the women surveyed had faced abuse from other road users while cycling. We received countless reports of harassment, aggression and even physical and sexual assault.

Most of what you know about the Black Panthers, is a lie. It is intentional disinformation, created and circulated by the FBI, with the assistance and complicity of newspapers and local police. This disinfo was spread as part of the FBI's counter intelligence program (COINTELPRO).

This is not some unfounded conspiracy, this is documented and now admitted by the FBI.

The Black Panthers were the good guys, and the FBI were the cartoonishly evil Bond villain bad guys. Seriously.

Cities can learn from Barcelona's superblocks but London's low traffic neighborhoods are another great model, especially for places with an irregular street grid or topography.

We can't swap from petrol cars to electic cars like for like. New research looks into the environmental impact of this in the US in relation to lithium mining.

We need more active travel and public transport while reducing car use.
