Another yearly Netherlands trip over.
Simply put: Dutch infrastructure designs for safety, whereas British traffic engineering design for conflict.
We arrived back to London with cars parked on both sides of the road & a single width traffic lane used for drivers to intimidate any other road user.

Just awful!
How could any driver unknowingly hit another person(!!!) and then when told about it choose not to stop as required by law, but choose to drive away like a coward.
Absolutely atrocious behaviour.

Shaking. Just got hit and run while cycling with my child. Who on earth does that? Somehow I stayed on the bike. I screamed. A person on the pavement who saw it shouted "oh my god" for fear we were going to be killed. I don't think I've ever been so scared when cycling before.
