The street that my mum lives in is a one-way street, but wasn't marked as such on #Google Maps. This caused many drivers to drive the wrong way. I have tried to edit it on Google Maps (there is such functionality), but to no avail. No matter how often I submitted a change (with photos of street signs!), Google said "Sorry, we could not verify it".

Solution: Edit the street on #OpenStreetMap! A few months after I did this, Google seems to have stolen the data, as it regularly does, and now the street is correct in both datasets!

they also took down my print profile on my own model because the picture was a slicer screenshot, not of the printed object. That's against community guidelines and it was just gone

The model itself had a photo of the printed object, and the print profile used a screenshot to show how support was applied... what a terrible system

I had an insanely popular print profile on #makerworld slightly modifying model geometry to print faster using infill pattern.
Now those are gone because it's considered a remix, which the license does not allow. I'm so done with that site lol

At least I cashed in my €40 voucher before the points were taken, and nothing of value was lost

Yup! My Surface Pro 4 works well with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS with the Surface Linux packages. The camera isn't supported (yet?) but everything else works, even the Surface Pen.

@bagelcollie i picked up an old surface go 1 off ebay last year with some christmas money after i learned out about the surface-linux project and figured i could replace my 10" ipad pro with it. bonus: the go's smaller size makes it so it fits perfectly in my large hobonichi drawer pouch.
