Rasmus Løvik was a police officer in #Bergen from 1876-1911. Was considered at a point for a transfer to somewhere else in Norway, which was met with protests from people in the Nøstet area where he patrolled.

Overkonstabel Rasmus Madsen Løvik. Rasmus Madsen Løvig kom fra Førde og arbeidet som politimann i Bergen 1876 – 1911. Løvig som patruljerte Nøsteområdet var en godt likt mann. Da politiet prøvde å forflytte ham til et annet område kom det kraftige protester fra lokalt hold. Var ansatt i politiet i 35 år. Født 21.11.1848 i Førde Sunfjord. Ble ansatt som politimann 17.02.1876. Ble Overkonstabel 23.01.1894 og gikk av 30.09.1911
