@treyhunner Oh, one of my favorite things about being a python developer is that every project thinks they have fabulous documentation, but so many of them, mine included, have documentation that is written for the team that wrote it and not for people just looking to do something with it. The SQL alchemy docs for example are endlessly maddening to me as they are needlessly verbose, don't discuss the backend mapping flow/order, and it feels like they invented terminology only to not overlap with ActiveRecord.
@april They figure that with enough piss poor logic they can RAA away anything. I mean why else would they call them PROOFs.
@Diami03 This is what it feels like for us to be sitting at a table of neurotypical folks.
@jerry @Tarah Spelled pair of dice. You know, that typically end up snake eyes.

why does everyone want to own the libs

as an open source developer i own multiple libs

i would happily pay people to take them from me

you do not want to own libs. its so much work

Fellas:

Drink fruity drinks. Get the scented candles that smell like cookies and doughnuts. Wear lotion that makes you smell like cereal.

Divest from that performative masculinity bullshit, and enjoy your damn life.
@valkyrie The answer seems pretty easy. You need a gun because even they aren't far enough left yet.
We all regularly see the successes of others, but rarely discuss what it actually takes to get there. Normalize talking about that other part...
@april those curly braces are the equivalent of finding a fortune in a fortune cookie that talks about being trapped in a fortune cookie factory.
