It may be too soon to plant dahlias outside, but I planted a few anyway. We seem to have climate-changed ourselves into a new gardening zone, so why not? #gardening #dahlias

@rvaughnmd Nutritionists have told me all sorts of nonsense things over the years. One claimed that the brain absolutely needed 150 grams of carbs each day in order to function. Absolutely! At the time I was eating about 20 grams of carbs per day and doing just fine, which is apparently not possible.

@rootsandcalluses Thank you! I'll go read up on both of them. I do not grow many tomatoes, but am always curious about what other gardeners are doing, especially with heritage varieties.

I sat outside in the rain, in my camp chair. I wore rain gear from head to toe, and was absolutely pelted with rain as I leaned back and stared into the sky. What a glorious experience. I love autumn, and the fall rains are just fine with me. #rain
