Actions speak louder than words.

I am unable to install EU Login app in my phone because I use LineageOS and not the Google Spy Android.

Thus, I cannot use the double factor authentication, mandatory from the 25-02-2026 on unless I tell Google.

A frontal attack to our #privacy.

Stupid, no?

@EUCommission

We have updated our AI policy to explicitly forbid generative AI. This and more in our latest monthly blog post "postmarketOS in 2026-02: generic kernels"

We have published an open letter to Google opposing the Android Developer Verification Program with over 30 organizations as signatories: https://keepandroidopen.org/open-letter/

"i'm mad at firefox, so instead i'm going to give google incrementally more power over the web"

ok. consider: not doing that

When talking about banning "AI" contributions to a project, saying "but you can't detect all of it anyway!" is missing the point. The goal isn't to eradicate every single "AI" contribution with perfect accuracy. The goal is to discourage those who would submit such things - even if they managed to fly under the radar, they still would've had to go through a lot of effort to not get caught, and that is already a win for the project!
We noticed a rising interest regarding the use of AI in browsers. To be clear about our position on this: Zen currently is disabling all AI features included in Firefox and will continue to do so.

I don't want AI in my browser, I just want the #RSS icon in the address bar to come back. I liked that.

Petition in Germany to recognize unpaid contribution to free and open source software projects as 'society-beneficial volunteering' (ehrenamt)!

This will give volunteering for e.g. @postmarketOS , @freifunk , @kde , @nextcloud , @Mastodon and other libre projects the same legal status as taking care of an elderly family member or volunteering for a youth association, which provides tax benefits and relaxes requirements for receiving unemployment benefits.

Interested people may sign it using one of the two following links.

Pro tip: If you’re complaining about “professional attire” or “dressing like an adult” under recordings of my talks, then you are the reason, I’ll make extra sure to always bring cat ears while on any stage (+ an extra pair for fellow co-presenters).

People are slowly realizing that Android only weaponized open source licenses but was always meant to be a captive platform, like people are slowly realizing that VS Code has open source code but is a captive platform.

Open source licences are not enough. They’re regularly weaponized as a tech enthusiast trap.
