It’s a wee bit foggy in Yellingbo this morning.

Working at home with the rain coming down, listening to the remaster of my favourite (with the possible exception of 'Live Ethereal Cereal') of #OzricTentacles originally cassette-only releases, 'Sliding Gliding Worlds'.

Their first release with Merv Pepler (later of Eat Static) on drums and "Jumping" Jon Egan on various flutes and woodwinds, it's Jon's flourishes that give this album a touch of exoticism and lift it above what came before. Lovely stuff.

Brunswick station was quite moody at about 11.30pm last night.

Been a bit slack on the live music front, but we got out last night for a gig for the first time in many months: Not Drowning, Waving with PNG music legend George Telek and various guests, at the Brunswick Ballroom.

Absolutely brilliant night - only took a few photos during one song, so as to otherwise be present and immerse myself in enjoying the moment. #melbourne #music #LiveMusic

Took the doggo out in the dark to a local park earlier tonight, and even though normally there'd be at least half a dozen other dogs/people there, tonight we were on our lonesome - it was weird, like I'd missed a memo or something...

So anyway I wound up listening to 'Dark Side of the Moon' in its entirety for the first time in ages on my headphones, as we wandered about.

10/10 experience, would recommend.

My op shop haul from a couple of days ago. Three comedy DVDs, plus the only #StarWars related film since the OG trilogy I really rate or enjoy, which I might want to rewatch yet again one day, having ditched Disney+.

(The Fisher King is one of my all-time fave films, that's the only Boosh-related DVD I didn't already have, and while not up there with The Jerk, any classic Steve Martin is good for me.)

My rainy Sunday arvo op shop haul. Two DVDs ('The Plank' and S3 of 'Get Smart') and four books ('Bulldog Drummond', which I've been meaning to read for decades; 'One of Our Thursday's is Missing,' by Jasper Fforde (already have in softcover, but this is a lovely mint hardback); and two books by Eric Idle, 'The Road to Mars,' (novel) and 'The Greedy Bastard Diary' (travelogue/memoir).

Not bad for $12. 😎

Just back from seeing the new Iron Maiden documentary, 'Burning Ambition', at the cinema with my youngest (16 yo).

A good time was most definitely had, and once the end credits had finished rolling my son turned to me and said, "Well, I'm looking forward to the gig in November even more now!" which I will take as an endorsement. 🤘 🖤

Slightly belated (for Oz) #LetterboxdFriday, but here’s my #LastFourWatched.

(Why yes, I am on something of a Meiko Kaji thing at the moment.) 😉

I seem to be spending a lot of time in Pokopia; it is SO damn good - an unholy mix of Pokémon (sans combat), Minecraft and Animal Crossing. Hours slip by as I just... happily faff about.

My only real regret so far is missing getting a screenshot of the lovely Mareep when I spotted it at a distance declaring via speech bubble, "I'm so fluffy!" 🐏
