Physical copies of GTA 6 confirmed to be a code in a box. I wrote about Switch 2 Game-Key Cards a while back. Got shit for this from some quarters. But I stand by the angle that a code-in-a-box is the worst of all worlds – and that physical media should be yours forever. https://www.stuff.tv/features/nintendo-switch-2-game-key-cards-are-the-worst-of-all-worlds-physical-media-should-be-yours-forever/
Nintendo Switch 2 Game-Key Cards are the worst of all worlds. Physical media should be yours forever

Game cards without the actual games on them are set to multiply on the Switch 2, leaving you with a collection of games you’ll never fully own

Reading northern hemisphere mutuals' posts about dealing with heat whilst shivering in Melbourne this morning (7°C when I got up to feed the dog and two hours later it's.... still 7°C) and thinking I would happily swap right now...

Bit of a rarity this, the official #MusicVideo for 'Shotgun Wedding', closing track of the 1987 debut album by Weddings, Parties, Anything, 'Scorn of the Women'.

Bonus rarity points for it being a track with Dave Steel on lead vocals, rather than Mick.

It's a definite mood.

What I hate most about forced adoption of GenAI/LLMs, apart from the myriad other things I hate about it all, is that until very recently, for the longest time we were encouraged to learn, to think, to know things and apply that knowledge in ways both practical and creative. To be and grow smarter.

But apparently that's now old hat. And we risk being seen as somehow "falling behind" if we don't willingly... stop thinking for ourselves and embrace the slop machine.

Well fuck that.
