CAMBRIDGE

Cambridge For Palestine gave a questionnaire to this year's City Council candidates. Based on the responses, they've endorsed Ayah Al-Zubi for a #1 vote. (They also recommend ranking LaQueen Battle, Jivan Sobrinho-Wheeler, Stan Rivkin, & Sumbul Siddiqui in any order.)

Al-Zubi is a passionate advocate for Palestinian rights, who bravely came out for a ceasefire as a first-time candidate in 2023, before anyone else in the race.

SOMERVILLE

Somerville for Palestine endorses Willie Burnley, Jr. for Mayor, and a Yes vote on Question 3, which would instruct the city to divest from businesses that sustain Israel’s enactment of apartheid, genocide, and occupation of Palestine.

Importantly, Question 3 is a non-binding resolution. Burnley, Jr. is a stalwart defender of Palestinian freedom, who has spoken in favor of the resolution, and pledges to follow it if passed. (His opponent, Jake Wilson, opposes the resolution.)

Even local elections give us a chance to vote in solidarity with Palestine. With Election Tuesday tomorrow, we have compiled some resources to help inform your decision. #MApoli #boston #SomervilleMA #CambridgeMA #Palestine
At the heart of this campaign is a simple idea: everyone deserves dignity. And when we say everyone, we really mean everyone. That is why I am so honored to accept the #1 endorsement of Cambridge for Palestine.

Join us this Thursday, 8/14 at 5:30pm in downtown #Boston for a mass mobilization. No flags. Details at https://innmvmt.org/boston-jews-say-no-more

Whoever can protest our people’s actions, and doesn’t, is responsible for them. (Shabbat 54B)

As rabbis led Jews of conscience in reciting the Mourner’s Kaddish for the Palestinians killed in recent weeks, NYPD officers hauled off two buses full them to jail.
TONIGHT: Approximately 2,000 Jews of conscience and allies are gathering at Columbus Circle to say NO MORE. No more starvation. No more ethnic cleansing. No more.
Our leaders must act now to end the horrors before they claim a single life more: ceasefire now, free the captives now, end the blockade now. Jewish and Palestinian safety and freedom are intertwined. Every life is a universe.
They are already cynically exploiting Jewish fear and heartbreak to massacre Palestinians, rip families apart, and seize dictatorial power, which violates human rights and makes no one safer – not Jews, not anyone.
Let us be clear: not only is political vigilante violence reprehensible, it risks emboldening Trump, Netanyahu, and other right wing demagogues seeking new pretexts for further repressing the movement for Palestinian human rights.
