Currently addicted to Elden Ring. Managing my withdrawals from Call of Duty & Tears of the Kingdom.

Will never quit my addiction to .

@gedeonm the most positive of vibes mate! 🖖🏽
@Gina thank you!!
@Gina what did you make your catio out of? I’m in an apartment & have been thinking about doing this.
ICE exists to make small towns afraid and racists feel brave.
Kimmel nails this hoser.
Hell yeah, macOS Tahoe adds an option to block apps from putting items in the menu bar (System Settings > Menu Bar).Goodbye forever, Creative Cloud!
No kings.
That was about insurrection. This is about rights protection.
So… the ICE agents?
@joshzepeda right!! A lot to be excited about but journaling on iPad with  Pencil support!! Awesome!!

@matt omg I thought I’d never see the day!
@matt Goodbye to Bartender and similar alternatives?
I'm wondering, Matt, do you know if this stops the processes from running altogether or just hides them from the menu bar?

@danielmunoz @matt

That's my question as well. Is this just cosmetic, or will it stop the app entirely?

I suspect it's cosmetic.

@tbortels @danielmunoz Yeah, it does exactly what it says and nothing more, so it just hides it. The app still behaves the same you just can't click it in the menu.

For example, I removed Pastebot and I was still able to use the keyboard shortcut to bring up my clipboard history just fine.

@matt This is so awesome to see. Kind of makes apps like Bartender or Hidden Bar not needed.

Also, I see you have CleanShotX installed. Is it working for you?

It takes screenshots for me, but I can't seem to edit them by clicking on Crop or Background or anything similar. I'm hoping it's not just me.

@cliffwade Yeah the menu is borked for me in the beta right now. I have had to learn the keyboard shortcuts for each item for now. At least hovering over the buttons shows their shortcut.
@matt Oh, good call! I didn't even think to try that. Hopefully it gets updated soon though.
@matt Nice! And yes... same with Adobe CC
@matt oh hell yes. I hate digging through an app’s settings to figure out how to make this go away.
@MuseumShuffle Same! Doubly so for Creative Cloud which literally doesn't have that option.
@matt I couldn’t find one for perplexity either, but I didn’t look that hard.

@matt Can it also stop Adobe making my Finder a real freaking mess by dumping their hot-garbage-i-didn't-ask-for in the root of my home directory?

That directory contains 1 (one) file.

I loath Adobe software these days.

@matt I’m very curious to know if the system settings window is resizable
@luqu @matt It is now on iPadOS, but not on macOS.
@matt @cstross Oh this is how we get rid of Jamf!
@matt that an os has to add this because apps cant behave is a sign of pretty poor design and ecosphere
@matt The REAL problem is that people still use CC to begin with
@matt there is literally no reason for it to be there. Adobe is evil
@matt I have an app that hides icons behind an expandable menu. But this looks awesome.
@matt can you... this is serious… can you remove a clock?
@matt Did I also see somewhere that you can now also move third party menu bar applets to control center? That feature would remove any need for Bartender or similar for me!
