These are the fascists who wrote and are enacting Project 2025.

As we've been screaming for years—it was never about "legal immigration." It was always about banning all non-white immigration. The Democratic Establishment needs to take this seriously or these MAGA fascists absolutely will enact a full ban to make the USA a white ethnostate like Nazi Germany.

one could make the argument that AI companies shouldn't be able to charge anyone for the service, since its abilities are founded completely on unsuspecting public and private discussions without consent. i could imagine a world where it becomes simply a public utility for the common good. those companies could be allowed to make a modest living providing that utility.

A bunch of the TTS systems coming out now are using voice cloning. I get the value of voice cloning for certain situations, but the last thing I want for a personal TTS system is for it to sound like me.

Is there a set of publicly usable voices out there that can be used across this new generation of LLM TTS systems?

Am i impressed that exiftool has a 61-page man page? I am.

@betalogue Rename along w/ a quick way to highlight the monitor being renamed seems ideal.

Related in spirit: Why can't I rename all my Spaces?

@betalogue yes, exactly. how long could this possibly take to fix, even if it doesn't cover all possible pathological arrangement cases?
@tuparev oh, i didn't notice the 2nd png. wish i knew.

& because programming is its own punishment-reward, hooray for scripting mdls.

(i can't think about all the lost hours spent making LG when they could be fixing a zillion little things that actually help.)

The Finder has this nice feature that when in list mode with a collection of images, you can have image-specific columns like dimension. But it won't work with png images, even though it clearly knows its dimension. Bug? Odd oversight?

I use a heavily modified dvorak layout. Today i'm experimenting with swapping the i and u keys.

Shoild be unterestung.
