We are in somewhat mild, but very pleasant shock - our LAION-5B paper has just received Outstanding Paper Award at NeurIPS 2022.

On Twitter, I never used “Like” similar to how others used it — I used it to bookmark tweets that I wanted to find later.

So when I came over to Mastodon, I used “Favourite” the same way since my preferred macOS client (Mastonaut) only had options to boost and favourite.

Then I learnt that Mastodon had a bookmark feature!

So I spent the weekend adding full favourite and bookmark support to Mastonaut since the source is available. I’m much happier now 😃
