Zorgen over mogelijke verbanden tussen het bestrijdingsmiddel en de ziekte groeien ondertussen snel. Toch durft landbouwminister Adema geen stelling te nemen: tegen de wens van de Tweede Kamer in wil hij zich komende vrijdag onthouden van stemming in Europa, wanneer het lot van glyfosaat beslecht wordt.´

De Europese voedseltoezichthouder (EFSA) hield belangrijke informatie over parkinson achter bij de goedkeuring van glyfosaat. Boeren mogen met het bestrijdingsmiddel blijven werken en goed onderzoek naar verbanden met parkinson blijft achterwege. ‘Het wordt gewoon onder het vloerkleed geveegd.’
