This week's parsha is a commentary about disproportionate response.
It's not exactly parallel to now; the duplicity isn't there. And it's not like I have any better ideas to offer the IDF.
But I still think the parsha is a message that there are limits to "any means necessary".
(Again, not that I have any better ideas. But I just can't make myself comfortable with what's happening now as a reasonable consequence and I found resonance in the reading.)
Grrrr....

Some kind of green frozen vegetable is essential. Peas are classic. I prefer Italian green beans if I can find them.
I grew up calling it "tuna wiggle", and "wiggle" goes back a long ways (early 20th century) meaning a cream sauce with canned fish and peas. It was served over toast or crackers; I have to assume that evolved into today's noodle casserole.
@wolfsbruder @dukepaaron (Forgive me if this is a repeat, since I don't see what I thought I just posted.)
Cheese is SO important! I put it not just ON but IN! Obscene quantities! Also some cumin, and water chestnuts for crunch.
But tuna casserole is typically already dairy, because cream of mushroom soup is a key ingredient.
@wolfsbruder @dukepaaron YES! I put it ON and IN. Obscene quantities.

The far left has gone full Stalin.
Why the #colonialism narrative—a diaphanous veil not quite covering the ugly #antisemitism beneath it—is, and always has been, completely full of shit.
I quibble with the author on a few points but overall this is an excellent and thorough takedown of a dangerous and uninformed idea.
