Artists from around the UW created astounding art pieces from trash in the fourth annual Trash Art Contest. UW Recycling received 23 submissions from UW students, faculty and staff. Five winning pieces were selected in three categories. The artwork needed to be created from items normally thought of as trash or a written work about waste and sustainability. Artists were asked to express feelings or ideas about waste, or a sustainability topic that relates to waste.

Today we're making RF Diffusion, our guided diffusion model for protein design with potential applications in medicine, vaccines & advanced materials, free to use. The software has proven much faster and more capable than prior protein design tools.

In a new study led by @CaelanRadford in collaboration w @FKlein_lab, we use improved deep mutational scanning system to map neutralizing specificities of broad human polyclonal serum antibodies from individuals living w HIV.
As background, HIV infection sometimes elicits antibodies that broadly neutralize many strains.
Individual neutralizing antibodies extensively characterized, but it is harder to map neutralizing specificity of polyclonal antibody response.
Big fan of this concept, will have to give it a try!
