@elduvelle @coolbutuseless I used visual software for a long time, then I realised that for normal operation it's just faster to go through the commands and that for advanced stuff it generally just works better on the cli
@coolbutuseless Try using gitui or lazygit. Even though I didn't have a problem remembering git commands, it made me so much faster (especially since I'm already using NeoVim). It will also show the commands it executes, so you can also learn them overtime.
@coolbutuseless @markgbaxter for a while my most hit webpage was a cvs to git cheatsheet I basically wrote for myself and didn’t have linked anywhere. People just googled for exactly that. A lot.

@coolbutuseless I must say stuff like GitKraken (or even SourceTree!) really makes it waaaaaay easier to use this obtuse piece of software...

Tech people should really work on making their software more accessible, a little bit of UX & UI goes a long way! (and it goes for a looot of things, not just git 😁 )
