War Is The Worst Thing In The World

War creates a waking nightmare which any sensible person would want to avoid except in the direst necessity. And yet we are ruled by people who actively seek it out.

Cambiotics: a novel treatment for PFAS ‘forever chemicals’

PFAS are toxic pollutants causing health problems globally. There is currently no treatment. Now a Danish startup is producing a probiotic, which it claims, flushes out the toxins via natural processes.

This article notes that Australia spends $714 per person annually on roads; 90 cents is spent on walking, wheeling and cycling.

Great to see that someone's paying attention to Infrastructure Australia’s infrastructure priority list--- building the cycling items on this would be a game changer for health, traffic congestion, and climate emissions in our capital cities.
They call out false solutions: "for example, telling people to ride to work, while not providing them a safe place to do so, doesn’t make sense".

Australia spends $714 per person on roads every year – but just 90 cents goes to walking, wheeling and cycling

Walking and cycling get 90c per person each year from the Australian government. What if that figure rose to $5, $10 or $15?

If you've never been inside the toilets at Flagstaff Station, do yourself a favour when you're waiting for your next train and take a look.

It's a wonderful time capsule from the 1980s when the City Loop was built that's almost unchanged in nearly 50 years.

Online Safety Amendment (Social Media Minimum Age) Bill 2024 Inquiry Submission

There was a 24 hour window of submission for the Social Media Minimal Age bill.. and I decided to write something straight to the point. https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Committees/Senate/Environment_and_Communications/SocialMediaMinimumAge Hello, I’m disappointed this bill exists. I don’t understand why it’s been rushed, nor why only 24 hours was given for this submission process. [...]
