You will never convince people to cut back on consumption. So you must find way for consumption to be less damaging. Like requiring 100% recyclability. Tax high amounts for virgin material use and non recyclability.
The Epstein Class believes that providing citizens with enough money to live a decent life while not requiring them to work will spoil them and turn them into useless marshmallows with toxic ideas, anti-social behaviors, and will actively tear at the social fabric.
Many experiments in Universal Basic Income have proven this to NOT be the case.

From the people who have more money than would be needed for a decent life many hundreds, if not, thousands of times over who do not have to work and who spend their time fucking up the lives of everyone else
