Labour candidate for county council. Dedicated to booting out the tories.

Nerdy dad in the UK. Used to produce a photo editing podcast called PhotoWalkthrough. I run a ticket and voucher printing company and I'm into teaching #coding to kids, #3Dprinting, #boardgames and #ukpolitics.

This is my fun Mastodon account. If you're looking at me because I'm a Labour Candidate for County Council or for my vocal anti-Brexit and anti-tory campaigning then please follow me at @floyduk.

@KevinMarks what the heck is ukgovcamp? Sounds political.
@Jo @bill @stavvers @babe wow I’ve never seen a Dreamcast keyboard!
@HowardGees @bill @stavvers @babe lol! For me yes. Nice to see your enter key is the right shape. What country is yours made for??
@aetios @babe @stavvers @bill bravo that is a thing of beauty! Those felt wonderful but I bet the enter key shape would mess with me really badly now.
@babe @bill @stavvers oh wow I’m going to have to open it up and check. Pretty sure it’s from early 80s
@bill @LiveByReason I think you posted a Das Keyboard further up and those are REALLY nice. If I didn’t have 2 original model Ms I would be using a Das.
@Holir_ @bill @stavvers @babe it’s original. I think this one hails from the early 80s. There’s a date on the inside.
I love it more than my children (almost)

This IBM Model M is one of two I have left from my dad's many original IBM PCs. This is my platonic ideal of how a keyboard should feel. So a few years ago I figured out how to use it on a modern PC - there's a little arduino thing you can buy or make. And now it's my keyboard again after all these years. I've bound the AltGr to be the windows key but I rarely use it.

@bill @LiveByReason

What's a "windows key"?
