Labour candidate for county council. Dedicated to booting out the tories.

Nerdy dad in the UK. Used to produce a photo editing podcast called PhotoWalkthrough. I run a ticket and voucher printing company and I'm into teaching #coding to kids, #3Dprinting, #boardgames and #ukpolitics.

This is my fun Mastodon account. If you're looking at me because I'm a Labour Candidate for County Council or for my vocal anti-Brexit and anti-tory campaigning then please follow me at @floyduk.

@jasonhowell just sent Leo a couple of toots suggesting guests for your AI show. Here’s another story that might make a good show. It’s about a guy who set up chatgpt to teach his daughter maths. https://teachergoals.com/personalised-ai-maths-tutor/?v=79cba1185463

@leo another suggested guest for the AI show is Mairi Aitken from the Alan Turing Institute. Just saw her give a great talk about the real and the fake risks of AI. And the reasons why the fake risks keep getting pushed in the press.
@leo suggest reading Andrew Pontzen’s book “universe in a box” which is about cosmology and simulation. Includes some AI. Might be a good guest for the new AI show. He also nicely rebuts the idea that we live in a simulation. Not shy about taking his science and applying it to real world politics.
Absolutely fascinating first session talks at #TDC23 conference. Particularly Andrew taking about cosmology and simulation and particularly his rebuttal of the idea that we live in one. I’ve bought his book The Universe in a Box.

So I just discovered that all my crypto - amounting to about £35,000 - has been stolen.

I can't find words to express how I feel.

Based on my *limited* data, things aren't really improving yet. Raspberry Pi says supply should improve in Q3 of this year. Fingers crossed.
