I don't usually bake bread during the week but I kind of missed the deliciousness as I wasn't motivated enough to make it this past weekend. I was worried it wouldn't turn up as the dough was a little too soggy but it seems to turn up just fine albeit a little flatter, and still delicious!
I signed up for a mastodon.social account back on January 2, 2018 but didn't make my first post until a year ago today. Happy Fediversary to me, I guess?
Our backyard today five years ago. None of the white stuff on it today. Too warm. 😕
Facebook Memories just brought up this photo from one of our Iceland trips. This is the tongue of #Fjallsjokull glacier in Southeast #Iceland and its reflection on #Fjallsarlon glacier lagoon. An Icelandic travel agency paid for our accommodations and car rental in this trip. All I had to do was take and post some photos to their Instagram for the duration of the trip (2 weeks). Fun stuff. Don't think it'll ever happen again.
The spousal unit took me out for a post-lunch walk. My heart wasnt really in it but it did the body and mind good. Feeling a little better now. I got to wear my cute sheep hat he got me for Winter Solstice one year (winter solstice is my Christmas). He ordered it from someone in Iceland who hand-knitted it.
I was going to bake some sweet milk bread but I chickened out and now we have a pan of leftover Halloween candy #brownies instead. Such is life.
It's grey and cold today. I feel like winter is finally here for real, or at least until the next, freaky, unseasonably warm day. They're becoming more and more common these days. 😕
This bovine was totally judging me and my life choices. I'd never felt so seen.
