@dmself I drill 1/4 inch holes into rhododendron in Ireland where they are invasive. And drop 1/4 proof glysopahate into the holes. The chemical doesn't damage immediate plants but kills the injected plants. Keep it in mind
Also keep in mind, if I may suggest, that you take years to convince your neighbours. It took years to convince mine to act or allow me to act for them

@dmself can you stem treat the invasive plants with glysophate?
Do they plants grow from fragments of their roots if you yank them up, but leave small fragment root remains in the soil?

@raycunningham if lynx work in Scotland (a release date before we could here) that would make it an easier sell
I can't see FG losing a local seat due to the unwarranted panic attacks lynx would bring unless similar habitat and culture was leading the way. My opinion
