This is a PA State bill.

I understand why some people are lukewarm about calling their federal representatives. Given the impotence of the Democratic party and the apathy of the Republican party, it can feel pointless to contact any of them.

However on the state level things are VERY different. Seats are more highly contested, and there's a significant incentive for state representatives to listen to what you have to say.

I implore you to contact your state representatives to oppose this bill

He does, on some very rare occasions, get to use the brain cell. It's definitely not at 11pm when he walks around the house with his favorite toy screaming at the top of his lungs, though.

Next time somebody accuses you of being a fascist, show them this and demand they explain how you meet most/all of these points.

For anyone who hasn't read either Umberto Eco's or Lawrence Britt's writings about what fascism is, you're doing yourself an injustice. Eco's essay isn't even very long. Learning to properly identify fascism is a key part of fighting back against it.
