The scaffolding around our building is finally coming down after almost a full year. In case anyone in #Melbourne needs to hear it: if the building has major cladding works upcoming, just get out of there.

I don’t know what price I’d put on *not* being woken up by the sound of a drill at 8am, six days a week, for about 9 months, but it’s more than the cost of moving out.

@nixCraft I’m not sure that we’ll ever legislate out of existence men’s sense of entitlement to women’s bodies, but we can legislate AI. Call me a Luddite but I don’t see what benefits could come from AI that could possibly be worth all the harms in the present. Increased productivity has not meant less work. Just because some Silicon Valley assholes call it “progress” and make billions on it doesn’t mean it’s at all useful to the rest of us — see crypto and self-driving cars as prior examples.

Marley Spoon I need you to understand that 100g is A LOT of spinach to divide between four burgers. It is a structurally infeasible amount of spinach. An architect would never approve a burger with 25g of spinach in it, and it would never meet council setback requirements. Marley Spoon please understand

@stib I’ve had a really similar experience, but gradually — every Windows update seems to make my PC advertise more Microsoft stuff to me. Windows 11 is worse than 10, but 10 is definitely getting worse too. My refuge has been a #Debian Stable partition, which has a bit more jank but feels a lot less skeevy. Not sure if I’ll switch to a #Mac long term or muddle through.

Found a workaround! If you click “Show on map” on the quest in the mission menu, it gives you a “Land” button which skips flying into orbit and being scanned.

The cops planetside seem none the wiser that I have a 300k credit bounty on my head 🤔 but I’ll take it! #Starfield

Bit confused and disappointed that the Crimson Fleet storyline in #Starfield is constantly asking me to land on heavily-policed worlds, when the game literally won’t let you land if you have *any* bounty. Am I a pirate or a law-abiding citizen? I thought I made my choice!!
