I keep reading about the NYC wastewater levels of COVID-19 spiking, so I decided to go to the website itself:

https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/covid-19-wastewater-surveillance

And here's the graph for New York City, which has become basically meaningless since the "detection method changed" on Mar 12 2023.

For example, the levels went from 9 (gene copies/ml, whatever that means) on Apr 30, to 118 a week later, and then two days later back down to 41.

It looks to me like they need to go back to the old detection method, where you could see a trendline with some informational content.
