I dunno what you want me to say:
A fascist got himself elected president of the United States, did a bunch of fascist shit, and then tried a type of coup known as an autogolpe - a coup to keep a strongman in power anti-democratically. Instead of putting that guy's ass in jail, we're putting him all over our TV under the logic that "he's running for office, so stopping him is anti-democratic."
In many ways, Weimar Germany would laugh at how weak WE are; so the comparison is more than apt.
The amazing @KlasfeldReports is on it, and off we go. Thread: 1/… 🪡
#Trump just swiped at #EJeanCarroll twice in the last hour on Truth Social, calling her case a "made up SCAM."
We'll see if the missives come up in court today.
If you haven’t checked out #Dylan’s new book, get on it! He takes 60 tunes from far afield and writes a short essay on each. A great way to discover some early classics and see some tunes you’re already familiar with in a new light.
I’ve been pulling up each song and listening along while I read the essay and it’s an absolute blast getting inside the mind of one of the songwriting GOATs!
Yes, it is sad that the former president funneled 130K in hush money through a shell company to a woman who says she had an affair with him in order to keep the information from the public before election day, then falsified business records to try to cover his tracks
This happened in America. Sad day for our country.

You’re gonna hear a bunch of BS from the right about how Democrats are insufficiently morose about Trump’s indictment. “This is a sad day for America,” they’ll say.
Here’s the thing: the sad day was when the president committed crimes. And the right either celebrated those crimes or dismissed them. A credibly accused criminal has been caught. That’s something to feel good about.
Three shows into #Goose spring tour, and every night has had a 25+ minute song. I don't have numbers to back this up, but feels intentional to me since last fall didn't consistently have jams go this long.
These efforts aren't always going to pay off, but I love that they are taking these risks and doing this kind of exploration. Hope it continues all tour.
