@korbermite That would be cool. Eight years ago I had never seen Phish live. I have since seen them 41 times. I have caught The Connection twice.
@chris Plus, it’s your best chance to hear Number Line three times
@chopaganda Most recent Phish analog to this second set might be The Greek 4/18 show when they followed up a raging Fuego with Light>Lonely Trip, The Howling>Farmhouse>Number Line, and a Zero encore.
If you ever wonder how deep racism is ingrained in America's history and its culture, just remember that all it took was democratically electing a black man to the office of President to make every single Republican openly embrace fascism.
@SmudgeTheInsultCat A metaphor for life. “When life looks like Easy Street there is danger at your door.”
@erosdiscordia The slower, more relaxed pace of life; the feeling of peace, safety, security; the quality of the food; the friendliness of the people; the beaches; the architecture; the infrastructure; the health-care system; the sanity of the politics; the beauty of the language; the proximity to the rest of Europe; futebol; the cost of living; the variety of people living here; the wine; and a whole lot more. It’s not perfect. No place is. But it’s pretty damn great so far.
@erosdiscordia I retired three months ago at the age of 55, and my wife and I moved from Dallas to the Porto area of Portugal. We tried hard to temper our expectations but it has been nothing less than a dream come true. Portugal is an awesome country. We feel so much safer and more relaxed here. Like coming home. The language is a challenge for sure but we’re here for the long run and loving every minute of it.
@Fragglemuppet Have you asked ChatGPT? Lol
@dangillmor So, Anderson Cooper will now lecture CNN brass on their need to get out of their silos and listen to the criticism, right?

I dunno what you want me to say:

A fascist got himself elected president of the United States, did a bunch of fascist shit, and then tried a type of coup known as an autogolpe - a coup to keep a strongman in power anti-democratically. Instead of putting that guy's ass in jail, we're putting him all over our TV under the logic that "he's running for office, so stopping him is anti-democratic."

In many ways, Weimar Germany would laugh at how weak WE are; so the comparison is more than apt.
