I've seen UX nightmares you gamers wouldn't believe.
Chord keys required to simply wield weapons. I watched roguelike users battle with vim-like commands, their eyes glittering at the ^H help screens. All those sessions will be lost in time, like an @ to permadeath.

I really enjoyed Dune 2. My favorite part was the construction slabs. Least favorite was House Ordos.
