The journey of a roguelike: DoomRL released as shareware in 2003 by @epyon and bullied by Zenimax lawyers. A 3D, gorgeous remake released on Steam in 2021 called Jupiter Hell gave a fresh pass on accessibility and mechanics.
2025 and a demake of Jupiter Hell is released using an updated engine of DoomRL. A workshop mod offers a full conversion backport to DoomRL, now fully playable with a gamepad.
