Today I lost a good friend. I wasn’t able to keep him with me due to noise laws. I raised him from a chick and spent everyday I could with him. Sadly, sometime in the past half month, he suffered from a foot injury (bumble foot? frostbite?) that turned gangrenous.
Sadly, the only option was euthanasia. Held him in my arms as he passed away. Mr. Bawkbagawk was my friend. I’ll miss him forever. #chicken #rooster #loss #poultry #pets #thewayofallflesh #interspeciesfriendship #goodbyemyfriend

@svatli it’s hard to put into words in a concise manner, mostly because I’m currently discombobulated and don’t have the words. I guess my main concern is that people might use this knowledge to grow cynical, and then discount the stories completely, when (whether factual or not) our stories have their own importance, and tell us things about ourselves. The experiences, of course, are also important, even if they are in our heads.
