"For all associations, it was found that a higher level of #paranormal #belief was associated with a poorer subjective #sleep #quality, even when controlling for age and gender effects," the study's authors report.

Paranormal Activity Is All in Your Head, And This Could Explain Why

Night is naturally suited for paranormal activity, with less light and sound to limit the imagination.

@svatli interesting article. Although I can’t help but wonder if by reducing things to their basic components, we strip them of the things they makes these experiences special.
@entinthetent which experience are you thinking of and why would it have to be paranormal to be special?

@svatli it’s hard to put into words in a concise manner, mostly because I’m currently discombobulated and don’t have the words. I guess my main concern is that people might use this knowledge to grow cynical, and then discount the stories completely, when (whether factual or not) our stories have their own importance, and tell us things about ourselves. The experiences, of course, are also important, even if they are in our heads.

If that makes sense, but I fear I’m rambling l.

@entinthetent
You might be rambling. We have stories, we have history and we have fulfilling lives without paranormal "experiences" - of course some have extra channel in their head and hopefully they can enjoy that (but that's not self evident - sometimes it's very bad for people).

@svatli well, maybe discussing this when I’m hopped up on Benadryl isn’t the best solution to this issue. Lol

Still a very interesting article
