1/ πŸš€ Pathoplexus now supports Bundibugyo virus (BDBV), a species of Ebolavirus.

BDBV has been associated with past outbreaks of Ebola in the DR Congo and Uganda, and a case has been reported today during response to the current Ebola outbreak.

1/ πŸš€ Pathoplexus now supports the Andes variant of Hantavirus (ANDV).

ANDV is the variant identified in the recent MV Hondius cases, & the Hantavirus variant previously identified as having occasional human-to-human transmission.

Cellosaurus update
The Cellosaurus team is continuing its activities. With the full support of the SIB direction, a reorganization of the team is currently underway. Annotation of new cell lines has resumed, including RRID assignments and will be published in upcoming releases. We thank the community for its patience and continued support

This needs boosting.
How we share data now, determines how prepared we are for tomorrow. That includes having access to *all* who need it (inccitizen scientists like Ryan Hisner) & being able to use it in dashboards & apps.
Having one place control it all - is dangerous.

#GISAID ruining science. This is a great shame.

covSPECTRUM, an invaluable tool, will continue to work with open data from the INSDC system (ENA, NCBI, DDBJ).

But historical data and data from many countries only feeding into GISAID will be unavailable.
