@gabby @thegibson yes, I agree. And I switched to a different android app miw, so Mastodon is now feeling like a possibility for me 👍
But I can't imagine trying to recreate my network here ... waiting to see to which platform everyone goes ... if it all goes to hell in a handbasket :-) 🤞

At 1:30 I was at 800 accesses.
At 1:31 I was at 1000 accesses.
What kind of bot is scraping the url off my mastodon profile and doing this?
I don't know enough about the topic to even guess.

I put a link in my Mastodon profile to a site I didn't realise had a limited number of accesses. Oh, no matter, few people will ... what? I'm over my limit of 1000 accesses? 1000!? That seems unlikely, I only signed up this morning. :-(

@sandyman I had a lot of trouble uploading images today, persistence paid off. Seems mastodon is overloaded today (hmm. Wonder why? :-P )

A tip someone passed along earlier that is worth repeating. Discoverability on mastodon is improved when you boost posts rather than just favoriting them. Unlike the   bird site, mastodon does not show in my feed the things you favorite. So boost the stuff you like! Tags also help discoverability! #twittermigration #tips
