Please judge my forthcoming book by its cover, because I absolutely love it! Out this fall.

Wrong: How Media, Politics, and Identity Drive Our Appetite for Misinformation

Hey #histodons I need to assign one article on antebellum removals, any recommendations?

The benefits of digging deep in court files is that you can find one document that makes your forthcoming book so much more colorful.

Liar in a Crowded Theater: Freedom of Speech in a World of Misinformation, in book stores this fall!

Are you feeling lonely during the festive season? Have you tried the hashtag #JoinIn?

It works like this:

- During Xmas period, or any time, write about what you're doing and include the tag #JoinIn. It doesn't have to be anything elaborate or impressive!

- Search for (or follow) the tag #JoinIn, reply to other people's posts with that tag.

I know it sounds kind of simple, but it's worth trying!

I'm going to be on my own this year due to ongoing pandemic, but will see you at #JoinIn

This is a bizarre op-ed and I’m surprised that PW would publish it. Of course university presses are under economic pressure, like the entire publishing industry. But they provide a huge public service in getting books to market that otherwise would not get a for-profit publisher’s attention. I can’t imagine pitching a book about Sec 230 to a commercial publisher in 2015. https://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/columns-and-blogs/soapbox/article/91144-demythifying-the-university-press.html

Every time I go to the pharmacy, I stop by the art machine to get an art. It's a converted cigarette machine--there's a whole series but I've only ever seen this one--and for five dollars it'll give you art in a box the size of a cigarette pack. Mostly painted wood blocks of that size, but I've gotten pottery and plush and earrings and a tiny notebook too.
Oh and since several people have asked about location(s), here's a link to the page on the Art-o-mat website that shows where all of theirs are. https://www.artomat.org/locations/

I regret to say I have a new hobby, and it’s asking the AI chatbot to write…well, “songs” is perhaps too strong a word

Christie’s is auctioning a 17th century knife with a handle carved in the shape of books, and I am making up so much headcanon about an Assassin’s Creed game where you play a librarian who avenges book crimes. https://onlineonly.christies.com/s/fine-printed-books-manuscripts/bookish-blade-29/169556
