I get selling benefits not features, but that rests on credibility. If all you tell me is “build faster so you can focus on what matters,” I don’t automatically believe you can deliver more time — but I do see you’re starting by making me read a page and a half to figure out what your product does
Would I have more time to code if I had someone else handle the bulk of support and just escalate a few tickets as needed? Probably. But often even easily resolvable tickets give great insight into how people are actually using features and how they could be improved. I built this tool for myself, but there are so many approaches and perspectives that I feel like I'd be missing out by not getting into the details first hand.
It’s telling when you can’t reach anyone at a platform with a mission of connection, or when a company that says they’re bringing communities closer together rewards global scale over local roots, or when authentic “engagement” as a best practice seems to evaporate when it’s not being done by users that don’t need to be compensated. #media #socialmedia
“Good production value” is often code for “looks like it was produced by a billion dollar company”. Which isn’t always “good”. Sometimes you want to communicate something else entirely. Just like a suit and tie is a “nice” outfit… except when it’s totally wrong for the situation
Almost a decade ago I worked on my first election guide. I've been building a platform to automate and streamline the process, and I'm excited to say that it's officially available to newsrooms. The marketing materials have been lagging behind the product a bit since we have been working on onboarding newsrooms and building features, so if you know a newsroom who might benefit from a better way to build election guides, please get in touch. #journalism #localnews

Who did it better?
This is crazy. Stable diffusion created a verification image of someone doing their KYC for a bank or similar. AI will impact Know-Your-Customer identity verification processes. As AI makes it easier & cheaper to impersonate someone’s likeness and identity markers (often found in a breach) it will become simpler for attackers to takeover accounts and steal money, data, impact brands, etc.
If AI can write something, did it really need to be said? Or is the prompt the actual idea and the rest is fluff to fill out some format? (Not a hard and fast rule by any means - it can be great for distilling, summarizing, explaining, and more. Just something I try to stop and ask.)
