First ride is an electric accordion bus. This is a standard one, but the town has even bought so called superbusses, which have two "accordions", not just one. This is part of an ongoing transformation of traffic: Electric busses, Bikes, less cars, more trees. I love it.

A week ago, the town has introduced a new line network. This is the first time we ride with the completely new line 9, which will take us to the central station.

In a complex system, detection and repair of minor issues happens continually. If you aren't aware of these sorts of activities going on within your own system, you don't actually understand how your system stays up.

The UK government privately threatened to defund and withdraw from the International Criminal Court if it issued arrest warrants for Israeli leaders.

Being reported in Tel Aviv and Tehran, but not a peep from the UK media. Extraordinary but unsurprising.

Exclusive: David Cameron threatened to withdraw UK from ICC over Israel war crimes probe

Former foreign secretary told ICC prosecutor Karim Khan that issuing arrest warrants for Israeli leaders would be like ‘dropping a hydrogen bomb’

"BBC won't re-show Bob Vylan's Glastonbury performance after 'deeply offensive comments'"

Offensive to whom? The IDF? Well, those fuckers are literally killing people seeking aid as "everything is Hamas'".

So, fuck them.

"The Haaretz investigation, published on Friday, June 27, 2025, details a practice where soldiers would use live fire, including from tanks and grenade launchers, to deter crowds from gathering at aid sites before and after official distribution times. One soldier described the areas as "killing fields," stating that "between one and five people were killed every day" at his location. The soldiers who spoke to Haaretz reportedly indicated that these actions were intended to control the crowds."

What I find odd is that previous aid distribution agencies could.generally manage to distribute aid without heavy artillery and small arms fire.

Weird that.

But Bob Vylan is offensive.

Here's the absolute weirdest electric vehicle you've ever seen.
It was called the Brighton and Rottingdean Seashore Electric Railway in the UK, and it's an elevated tram which ran on submerged (at high tide) tracks.
It started running in 1896 but was knocked out of action a week later by a storm. It was rebuilt and ran for 5 years, carrying thousands alongside the beach for no immediately obvious reason. 😄
It's long since gone but the fact it actually existed is surreal.
According to Danish news, a new pan european app is being developed for smartphones for citizens of #EU member countries. It will, they say, serve purpises of id, age verification, driving license, etc. I call it #Euro_NSA. Let us fight it with everything we have. We don’t have much privacy left, when #Euro_NSA comes we will have none.

@whh_ks argh ! Voilà un argument fort bien documenté
En même temps, on peut mettre ça sur le compte de la licence poétique et de la folie créatrice de Joe Dassin 😆
