The Dalrymple Report: AirPods Max 2, AI Spending Race, and figs

@gruber I have SO many examples of this. Text fields that are cut off, text color choices that render text completely unreadable. In this regard, Apple design has lost the thread.

Siri will continue to be incompetent ... until it very suddenly isn't - 9to5Mac

I know, we’ve been waiting forever for the new Siri and it still isn’t here yet. Many are adopting the...

@davemark it can happen with something as simple and straightforward as a watchOS update after an iOS update. Or reconnecting AirPods that may not have been in range of the other items at the time.

Sure, it is disconcerting, but as someone else has mentioned in this thread, I think the objects are simply becoming reacquainted after a bout of amnesia.

My ID still claims a 2017 device I haven’t seen since 2022

@iansu that is absolutely the worst part of it I think. Feels like when Apple does design, they don’t think about what this element could link to. Like, the photo on my lock screen comes through my photo library, but there’s no long press way to go from the lock screen photo to the library version. Sometimes that would be very helpful.

@davemark Thank heaven it isn’t just me. It started yesterday. I checked the device list and removed two items I haven’t used in a while but didn’t see anything weird.

I changed my password for iCloud. The notices still come.

Also, my Series 3 watch started asking for a password BEFORE i changed it. Something weird is going on. So glad to see this post!

@davemark this happens when a previously registered device reconnects to internet after long while. (A month or so). At least for me.

Just got a series of "Device Added to Your Account" alerts on my iPhone and Mac.

No new devices, no major updates.

Checked device lists, all recognized.

Perhaps this has to do with the "Background Security Improvements" update Apple just dropped?

Anyone else seeing this?

@michaelscrip had no idea they were international versions. That’s very cool!
