@WarnerCrocker I think both are relevant, Warner. Privacy is the tentpole that Apple needs to hold onto for credibility and differentiation.

And Nvidia is making some real advances in hardware (see the NVIDIA RTX Spark processor, for example) that have real threat potential, if Apple doesn’t get their Software house in order.

@davemark Okay, i'm just gonna drop this here.... iPhone users - real iPhone users - won't leave if siri isn't perfect nor if "enough AI" isn't in the phone. There must be a platform for AI to run on and just look at the record iPhone sales.

re: AI privacy gains? It depends on what is Apple's answer to Gemini running on Private Compute ON GOOGLE'S SERVERS? Can Apple allay people's Google-fear?

For me, 2 big questions for WWDC:

Will there be enough actual, proper working Siri/AI features to keep people from migrating to other platforms?

And will there be enough AI privacy gains to pull people from other platforms?

Hey @davemark! I just turned on your podcast today and wanted to say congratulations on your news at the beginning. Also, the only caveat with being a grandfather is that you have to sleep with a grandmother. 😆
