And we're carefully back online again, with a few exceptions. https://www.lokjo.com First, a huge thanks to https://www.geoapify.com for understanding the situation and delivering tiles while we fix a replacement. There's 3 exceptions, for the moment: - A basic OSM map display. (modern version comes back later) - No satellite images. (if somebody knows a EU provider that would be great) - the feedback form is taken offline. (no time for that) That's all for now.

Just spoke with my CDC sources they said:

COVID is surging again. Over 350 deaths weekly as variant NB.1.8.1 spreads fast across many states.

Low vaccination and missed treatment are key drivers.

RFK Jr. told teams to stop reporting and won't recommend COVID shots for kids or pregnant women.

This is willful neglect.

I report directly on Bird Flu, COVID-19, Measles, and other infectious diseases from trusted CDC sources.

5 years ago today. George Floyd was murdered by a racist cop who knelt on his neck and choked him for over 9 minutes.
I was only a kid back in 2020 but I remember seeing this on TV and it shocked tf out of me and knew it was cops v us.
Remember George today but also all the other black men murdered by cops.

I have the ssh movie player back online!

This is running on a custom ssh server built using russh as the backend. To convert frames, I used the python tv package, subtitling and playback is all custom.

You'll need a terminal that supports 24 bit color.
