Over the last few years I've been slowly reading all the Jean Rhys novels in order and now that I've finished Wide Sargasso Sea I am absolutely bereft. Now what?
I keep posting to that other site out of sheer habit but also because I'm using it for feelings-vomit lately and everything here feels a little too Serious and Meaningful for me to just drop my anxieties on it???
A country that accepts both the concept of billionaires and of school lunch debt has failed.
I keep forgetting to come here but if that other app is really about to become a place of 4000 character mini manifestos you will definitely be finding me here. Or maybe I'll start a blog again. What the hell.

Let’s be clear that CWs are great. But someone existing as different from you, as a marginalized identity, does not go behind a content warning. And talking about the discrimination they experience might make you uncomfortable—trust me, when I experience racism, it’s very uncomfortable. The response is to try and do something about it, not to tell them they’re making you uncomfortable.
