@q @Embr @scarlet the KWS doesn’t concern knifes (§ 10 (4) Satz 4 Waffg [1]). Also most public transport bans führen of guns with a kws. And in weapon ban zones they are also not allowing you anything. So how would a kws help?

@bert_hubert not the anwser you’re hoping for but still: In my personal experience your only option is to delete and reinstall the app. It also might (!) be possible to create an itunes backup, modify the signal db and restore it. But that’s way beyond the reasonable hack threshold (and I haven’t done such shenanigans in years)

Another move, but this time to the biggest instance. Why? Because running a social media platform is not a hobby. I tried with a small instance but between unexplained (and non-sensible) blocks and having to wait for every foreign post/profile, it just was less fun.

If you want decentralization make it pleasant, don’t punish (with a worse experience) behavior you want to see.
