I'll never forget socialno.de, my first fediverse server (using StatusNet) that I ran on Hyperboria from 2013 to 2016.

I joined Mastodon in 2016, and in early 2018 I began implementing ActivityPub in GNU/Social and when the maintainer ignored my PRs, I decided to create my own project.

That project became @pixelfed
