@wezm I'm the other way around. I had to install gls (GNU ls) on macOS and alias ls as 'gls -v' to see files sorted in natural order (I.e. bookmarks.html appearing after 'Zed'). This human much prefers uppercase
letters come before lowercase letters.

And if you guessed I am a long-time UNIX/Linux user, you got it right.
@ascentale @bikenite@a.gup.pe A8: Cloud City Coffee in the Maple Leaf neighbourhood in Seattle. It is on my commute route, but I'd go out of my way to visit it because it has excellent coffee, openly welcomes everyone, and is extremely bike-friendly. They give you 15 percent off on everything if you have a Bicycle Benefits sticker.

And the last question for the week:

Q8. Are there cafes or food stops that you frequent when riding, or visit by cycle? What is the place?

Can you share a photo of what it looks like?

@moira @ascentale @bikenite@a.gup.pe Ah, I see. Thanks for the clarification. I hope my question didn't turn out to be a personal one.

@bobjonkman has a chain wax follow-up:

Q7. Lots of talk about bike chain wax the last few weeks. What does bike chain wax look like? Is it soft like beeswax? Or hard like sealing wax? What tools are needed to wax a bike chain?

My chain needs cleaning, maybe I'll wax it. How difficult could it be?

@ascentale @daihard @bikenite A5: I just bought new grips! And rode with them the first time today. They're Ergon GT1 grips, and I got the large size despite fairly small hands because that's what they had and they felt comfortable anyway.

they so cuuuuuuuushy i love it

I bought them because they have support for four grip styles, three of which I was doing already on my Ergon Evo grips, but they weren't really very good there and the moment I saw those I was "holy shit need" and while there's some definite need to get use to them - being so cushy means also being thicker - I think it's going to work out. They were definitely comfy even not being used to them, and with my in-remission RSI that's a good thing to have.

@ascentale @daihard @bikenite timely question. Cycling Weekly just wrote up a bunch of tapes. Your Supakaz was on the list.

@moira @ascentale @bikenite@a.gup.pe I was thinking about Ergon grips too! My do-it-all bike came with grips with no holes on the ends so I can't install a bar-end mirror (or other things that go in the bar end). #BikeNite
