@SwiftOnSecurity Consider watching the British film "The Cruel Sea" about the UK and Canadian experience. I knew a few old sailors and it was so realistic they had trouble watching it.

We currently have #crowdstrike for our #EDR. It's ease of investigation was way ahead of our old solution. It is light on resources (1% cpu), easy to deploy. However it's taken us time to learn enough to be proficient with Splunk queries to get custom alerting. For example jon domain accounts in local admin.

#introduction I am very happy to feel as if I have found a place that is a real community.
I've been in #infosec since about 2000, when I was using #Tivoli for system management, and began working with Access Management. Was a consultant working with IBM security solutions #Tam #quasar etc for 19 years across NA,EU.
Left to run a university #UFV cyber security department and #mentor and grow next generation of infosec. Now playing with #Azure #crowdstrike #Sentinel #zeek #waf and more. After private industry the collaboration with my peers in higher education infosec is enthralling.
