Aging geek. Looking to PKM to organize thoughts and help with an aging brain. :)
I’ve made a resolution to work my way through the MacStories 2024 music playlist. Most of these albums are not my style at all; this is an effort to expand my horizons and taste. I’m going to try to manage at least one album a day. The first one is All Hell by Los Campesinos. I don’t know this group at all, but both guys say it’s a really fine album.

I really love photography, yet don't practice it enough.

I've therefore decided to take on a daily August challenge and will report about it on my Bear blog.

In case you're interested, have a look on the blog.

And if you're interested to join as well, feel free to do so.

Everyone blames landlords for the ridiculous push to "return to the office" but I'm certain that it's really the bra manufacturers that are behind it.

I'm quitting 2023. After 364 days, today will be my last day. My tenure here has not been a good one and I requested an exit interview with HR so that 2023 can understand why I'm leaving and perhaps, how it might do better in the future.

Now we have another phone call from Trump asking different people to help screw with the election. There may be more.

I wonder if any of the people he called ever asked him, “What's in it for me?”

If they did, I wonder what he might have been willing to offer, and what they might have asked for.

What would it take for you to hand the Presidency to Trump?

The new English autocorrect in iOS and iPadOS 17 truly is one of the unsung heroes of these software updates.

I've been writing entire blog posts for @macstories on my iPad and iPhone using the software keyboard and have *enjoyed* doing it in a way that wasn't the case since, I don't know, 2012?

The new system is incredibly good and I hope it expands to more languages soon.

Tip for using AI in your Obsidian Vault
You don't need to fear using AI with your confidential vault, but you do need to read the plugin documentation. Our assignment is to learn how to control what plugins do. You can often define what data they can send and what data they can't send. #TfT

I'm almost at the point where I would pay money to have YouTube stop asking me if I want to subscribe.
