@ppb1701 — Spot on. Interestingly, if you review our history with nuclear power, you’ll see a fairly spotless approach vector (operative word: ‘fairly’). In the design industry, there’s an old saying: God is in the details. Nuclear power requires our approach to be as detail-oriented as possible. Otherwise the operative word is ‘calamity’.

@_elena @Jerry Curious if there’s a plan to monetize #Bluesky you are aware of? Two points to accent your post:

- criticism on #Mastodon initially feels like smearing a rival platform first, investigative reporting second. (Feel free to push back on that, it’s just the vibe I get when I read these articles)

- bureaucracy is an issue with brand communication. This MAY be what Bluesky is encountering because the United States needs to have a serious conversation about the illusion of brand

One of my favorite, consistent reads is Om Malik’s blog. Om is a communicator, which is to say he leverages not only words, sentences, and paragraphs, but photos and visualizations, to express both information and emotion. Incredibly insightful!

How Not to Interview (Interesting People)

As a photographer who is primarily a writer, I like reading about photography so I can learn from those who create. I do that by reading photo magazines and listening to podcasts. One such magazine…

@HollyHawk Those eyes and jowls. Such a handsome companion. Would you share the breed? I used to have a distinguished long-haired English Setter who was simply the very best companion a person could ask for.

I firmly believe nuclear power is in our future. That's fine, provided ‘safety’ is a feature, not a ’bug‘.

We should expect more from our leaders.

@pheonix I love it. Frankly, as I mentioned, it's a lovely discovery (for me) as you write helpful, thoughtful essays based on experience. This illustrates the value of process. In the age of A.I., process is quickly going to become a generational gap (or chasm). I see it infecting students in higher education, flu-like. Skip the sweat of process because A.I. can predictively improve time to market.

In this algorithmic morass, you, sir, are a gem.

@pheonix — What a wonderful discovery! I presume you’re getting some server load from Gruber’s accent points to your New York Times experience. Your "Friction As A Feature" article spoke to me. Bravo!
In the future, there isn’t much to do apart from chase each other in patchwork cars and trucks. And I do so love that. Ah, the simple life. #movies #Moviemastodon https://frontrange.co/@apnewsbot/112445109155323872

So it seems important to publish an #introduction — I'm the Assoc. Director of Marketing & Communication at Miami University in Ohio (though all opinions are mine alone).

I am a designer by trade. I love sequential narrative in film, books, and comics.

I’m happy to chat with you on #mastodon.
