I decided to do another pixel art piece for my game idea, this time, inspired partially by the 1986 Tom Clancy book Red Storm Rising. This one was taken from a chapter called The Frisbees of Dreamland, hence the title.
I was also inspired by the old MicroProse manuals, with rich detail and diagrams, especially those of their old Stealth Fighter games.

Here's me getting through Hurricane Milton. So far, it looks like my area lucked out, with not much flooding rain and not very damaging wind, which makes me happy. I wish that was the case for all.

Earlier today, I drew my first pixel piece in some time.

For some time, I've been wanting to make a military flight sim-style game...but where you play as a witch, defending her little house from a Soviet invasion. It'll be a while before I have something substantial made, but here's my first piece of artwork with that idea, thanks to Aseprite. I'll probably add more to this piece later!

Here's some video of me playing Project Stealth Fighter on Commodore 64. I'm using the call sign Phantasma.

I'm playing on what's effectively the second highest difficulty in the game, taking the commie bastards in the North Cape. My stealth rating was awful, but I blew up a bunch of Soviets, so it more than balances out.

This is easily my favourite 1980s game, and one of my favourite games ever.

Building upon my recent playing of the C64 Project Stealth Fighter, I've been playing a lot of the MS-DOS F-19 Stealth Fighter.

I love this one as well, expanding the tactical nature of the original C64 game, and providing a bigger range of challenges.

I especially love the 1988 flat shaded 3D scenery, especially in North Cape/Norway. The night missions feel both spooky and chill to look at.
