Did the staffer who posted that racist meme get fired, or is he still the President of the United States? This is awesome though I can't take the credit for it!

It has come to my attention that some of 'the youth' these days consider the full stop, the period, '.' a sign of writing in a 'passive-aggressive' manner.
What utter fucking bullshittery is this?
It's called Punctuation, it was around before you were even a piss in your father's willy, and it exists for a reason.
Get recked!

Kirsten told me about this just now and it has utterly ruined my day.
People, sentence structure has a point to it. Full stops have a point to them. They designate a lot of things, one of them is 'OK, safe to take a breath here.'
Absolutely just get fucking recked right now.

Having to step back when you don't want to is one of the hardest things you can do, but if it's necessary sometimes what you want to do and what needs to happen are two different things. Doing the needed but harder thing shows strength. It sucks, I know, but also understand that it's not the end of the world. Things will improve.
Ready for something that's going to blow your mind, especially my fellow folks with disabilities? Hold onto to your hats and other accessories because this one is wild. The other day, I got a text from an Orientation and Mobility instructor that I had worked with back in the day. For those who are confused, to put it simply, an Orientation and Mobility instructor is the person who teaches someone with a visual impairment how to get from point a to point b without getting killed. Anyway, said instructor asked for permission to use old pictures she had of me for a retirement party slideshow. I said yes. Nothing too out there, at least not yet. A friend of mine who also worked with her got the same text message, but then more. This instructor asked for a memory video to be recorded on a platform that's not accessible, which my friend explained to her. Instead of understanding, she straight up asked him if his sister could help him record the video. Okay fine, general populace deciding to be ignorant is one thing, but someone who teaches independence? This is a level of what the fuck I don't know if I can deal with.
Wanna wish you all a superb weekend!

Stop telling disabled people that we’re brave.

I don’t want to be brave.

Instead, make a world and a society that doesn’t force us to be brave just to live.

So... Someone explain to me why people, time and time again, see it necessary to move around a blind person's stuff to make room for new stuff, then not tell them any of the changes you make to their environment. Please. Please. Please don't do that. Please just stop. It isn't helpful, it isn't funny, and it makes things 100 times harder for the blind person because now they have to figure out what this new thing is that was added, where their stuff was moved, and whether or not anything is in a place they can't find it. I know the people seeing this likely already know this information but at this point I'm just so, so tired of seeing this. I'm practically begging people at this point. Please, please in the name of all that is holy please stop.
