Man, dnd tonight was the bee's knees.

One of my players is interested in fortress building being a mechanic introduced in our game, which really piqued my interest. I can think of endless new quest hooks and scenarios that could set place there.

Have any dungeon masters lead their players through fortress or settlement building? How did it go and was it easy to manage?

Session planning. How many traps are considered too many? Lol

It's so much easier to traverse projects in github now. It didn't always used to be this way, but with as many apps and packages as I'm working on right now, it's become second nature to open code in the browser instead of an editor.

A little website I made for spells mentioned in the pre-generated character sheets that come with the Dragons of Stormreach Isle starter set. Printing in either landscape or portrait should yield a nicely formatted reference.

D&D Spells

Anyway, fast forward to today. There are great memes about what my generations kids will considered as "the oldies." My kids are already singing,

"All circles presuppose they'll end where they begin
But only in their leaving can they ever come back round
All circles presuppose they'll end where they begin
But only in their leaving can they ever come back round
All circles presuppose they'll end where they begin"

Cassady, one of my close high school friends, and I took a road trip to a music festival during our senior year of high school; they were playing there. Even amongst the 25+ shows we went to they stood out a little extra.

Musings...

If I had to name one artist that has had the biggest impact on my life, it would have to be mewithoutYou. An old friend from youth group, whom I haven't spoken with in ages (and dearly miss!), named Max introduced me to them. I was blown away. It was an instant rush of emotion. We would drive around, jam, smoke cigarettes, and have the best time listening to their music.

As the caravan meandered through the blustery grass hills, a vast graveyard emerged on the western horizon. The nearer they approached this solemn abode of the dead, the more palpable and insistent the force became, as if beckoning Almivyr with an invisible, spectral hand.
